I Thank God

I give thanks for all the angels
God has provided for my journey
Those who I know are with me
and those I am blessed to be with

I give thanks for the ones
who continue to care
And those who cared once
when I needed them most

I give thanks for the privilege
of knowing I am loved
On Thanksgiving morning
I thank God for you

Angels hear

Fill in the blank space with whatever is in your heart.
– Something special shared with the angel listening to you –

Shadows in the evening sun
Making patterns on the wall
Flickers of hope from heaven
At the whisper of your name

The conversation goes on
You know my heart after all
In that space untouched by time
Here we are back at ______ again

Sweet Dreams

In the midnight hour
A gentle host
Of heavenly beings
Make their way
Across the world
To where you sleep

Carried by love
On rose petal wings
Soft as a mother’s kiss
On her baby’s cheek
They whisper hope
Into your dreams

Every Rose

Listen to a reading of this poem by Samanthi Fernando, Author of  Radiant Roses: Inspirational Poetry

Every rose I see
Reminds me of
Someone who loves me

Deep red, open
The pillars of faith
Strong women in my life

Exotic colors
Delightfully made
Some very special sisters

Light pink buds
Great old friends
Sweet, still full of promise

Gentle creams
Ready to bloom
Next generation lovelies

Bright blends
Of intriguing shades
The gifted hearts I know

Perfect petals
Soft and white
Are my precious angels

Angel at the Mission

At the old mission
We met, as if in a dream
And talked of places
Where we had been
Are you weary she asked
Quite so, I replied
Drink then, this water..
Gently she implied
I wept on her shoulder
And the tears all dried
My cup she filled
With more for the ride
Lovingly she waved
As I said goodbye
Her parting words..
Come back anytime

Angel Force

Golden shafts
Extending down
From the heavens
Enclose the seeker
Of the Angel force

Saint Michael himself
Shows up to answer
The imploring prayer
Of a faithful believer

She Knows

She knows when I need her to hear all my cares
And sits down beside me when I say my prayers

She knows all the dreams we didn’t get to share
They must be from heaven – she’s already there

rest well

wings of white
iridescent
in the dark of night
calm assurance
of divine presence
a quiet sentinel
stands before me
gentle reminder
to rest well
